We are so proud that our creative video agency was able to participate and produce this independent movie production based on a true story.
Inspired by a career-long correctional officer, Alan, absorbing the daily weight of his professional environment, now finds himself raising his granddaughter, Kaylan, who has developed a rare form of epilepsy that no one saw coming.
With Kaylan needing 24 /7 care, Alan is coping with the harsh realities of his personal and professional life and finds somatic journey dancing as an expressive outlet.
Living between two very different worlds, the prison where he works and the dance floor where he finds freedom, would never know the pain and suffering he has been dealing with in life. He lives a happy life and chooses not to let his situation get the best of him.
This story matters as it reminds us that tenderness and vulnerability can exist even in the most unexpected places.
Production in Detail
Script Development
Sabina arrived with a completed script drawn from her real conversations with Alan. MultiVision Creative reviewed the material and provided detailed feedback on structure, pacing, and tone, helping shape the draft into a production-ready document that preserved the integrity of the true story.
Pre-Production Planning
Building the framework for an independent movie production with no existing infrastructure requires starting from scratch.
MultiVision Creative assessed the practical feasibility of the project, developed a realistic production budget, and created a detailed plan that accounted for all five locations, a mixed cast of professional and non-professional talent, and the specific technical demands of each scene.
Location Research, Scouting, and Negotiation
The film required five distinct locations: a functioning correctional facility used across two shoot days, a private home, a retreat center, a gym, and a moving vehicle for a rigged driving scene. MultiVision Creative handled all research, on-site scouting, and negotiation with each location owner, securing the required location releases throughout.
Filming inside a working jail presented its own set of challenges. The facility operated under strict rules governing what could be recorded and how. MultiVision Creative coordinated directly with facility management to plan a compliant production schedule while securing the footage the story required. Getting access and working within those constraints took significant effort, and the jail footage is among the most visually distinctive material in the film.

Casting and Production Management
MultiVision Creative managed the full casting process, sourcing principal cast members and background extras. Two of the cast held SAG status, requiring formal coordination with the Screen Actors Guild.
MultiVision Creative operates as a SAG-signatory production company. Engaging SAG talent involves formal union agreements and a substantial amount of required documentation. Multivision handled all compliance paperwork and union obligations, ensuring the production met every requirement from start to finish.
Set Dressing
The private home used as a filming location required a full transformation to work as a period-accurate set. MultiVision Creative’s team redressed the space entirely, changing the location’s visual character so completely that the shoot’s before-and-after documentation shows almost no resemblance between the original space and what appeared on camera.
Makeup and Prosthetics
One cast member needed to appear older for her role. MultiVision Creative’s makeup team applied prosthetics and a period-appropriate wig, achieving a convincing result that held up through the production schedule without any disruption to the shoot.
